The simple reason for this is that there is a lot more car between your child and the point of impact in front and rear collisions than there is in side impact collisions. Extensive research has also shown that in accidents like this, the child's head is the most vulnerable part of the body.

Air Protect Technology

That's where AirProtect® technology comes in. Embedded in the head area of the car seat, a small foam device releases precise quantities of air at the time of collision, providing crucial extra cushioning for the head area and diverting the force of the crash away from the child's head. Given that 1 in 3 child deaths are due to side impact collisions, and that most of these are caused by head trauma, you can see the benefits to adding AirProtect® technology to car seats.

Maxi Cosi have also made sure that its AirProtect® technology doesn't interfere with everyday use of your Maxi Cosi car seat.
